1/1 BoilerPlate Replica

On March 19th, I started building a 1/1 scale / life-size BoilerPlate Replica.
When complete BP will stand 6.5 ft tall...
But first things first:
Here's me goofin' with the full size mouthpiece, (aKa - my O face)
holding a 1/6th scale study model.

I started with the Best plans, which coincidentally were made by my crew -
the RE-VISIONEERS - with Wayne Orliki in the lead-artist chair.
(...though as the build progressed it became apparent that the plans
would need re-revision - which is currently in progress)


I acquired all the needed materials & started preliminary shape/shifting...

Then I assembled a crack build Team (Andrew & Mac)

Here's the Head & Torso...

Helmet taking shape

the eyes have it - bigger plans are to feature working Iris,
& lights to signify activation/operation mode & infrared night-vision.

BP build - the Eyes have it!
Now that the helmet is 93% complete,
I turned my attention back to BP's Eyes.

They appeared a smidge too high & too close together,
so I removed the eye-stems, remeasured & centered everything,
replaced the eye stems a 1/4 inch further apart & 3/8 of an inch lower.
It was amazing to see that even this small of an adjustment made
the head appear wider in diameter & improved BP's facial 'expression'.

Why it just so happens I'm a BP expert & I know where you can get a Great set of plan/drawings
(the ones posted here are an early version & since, quite a few changes were implemented)

This is what I want to build, this is awesome! I had a B9 Robot that I had built and sold and miss him very much, however I can't afford to start another one as of yet. This guy should be able to be built at a lower cost ( I Hope) than the B9! If you could pass any and all info along this would be a great center piece for the family room!
