..:: 1:1 ABC Warrior Head / Bust ::..

Finally got to snap a few shots of my 1:1 ABC warrior head today. I picked up this unassembled hunk of resin almost a year ago, and it sat forever. Finally, I got around to building and customizing it.

I wanted the piece too look more burnt and "smoked" than the typical rusty orange paint job. Something subtle and dark. It sits up on a little kickstand, and sports a severed head type of look -- complete with loose wiring. The underside of the head has a fair amount of techy little details.

Might be putting this guy up for sale. Not quite sure yet. Enjoy:

really nice job, the weathering is well done. did you use a hex stencil for some of it?

Yeah. I pulled a steel hex mesh and used it for some surface details

NEW STAND DONE!

Here are photos of the new custom stand. Some of the parts are actually from an old walkman.

It's independent from the skull. This way you can still easily pick up the head and look it over. The support peg has a rubber grommet that keeps anything from slipping:

There's a lot of guys here drooling over this (including me!!). As much as I hate to say it, auctioning it may bring you the best price. Otherwise we'll all be checking the JY every five minutes to be the first to write "PM sent!"

ha. Well it's not up for sale quite yet. I'll keep you guys posted when it goes up.

Well, you showed it to us, now, just like in school, you have to bring (make) enough for everyone. Don't forget an interest thread, and to let us know when production starts.

that look beautiful...question though, and no disrespect intended here but that doesn't look 1:1 to me. or is it just the angles of the pics? That looks a little smaller than a human head and if I remember correctly the robot in Dredd was almost twice the size of that.

Again no disrespect, hell I'd be happy with a keychain sized one LOL.

It's bigger than my head. Definitely not double though.

Maybe it's slightly undersized, I'll have to watch the film again.
