Xwing and Tiefighter prop discussion

Oops made a fubar by putting up a link to my Shapeways shop in my last thread.My bad :(
Redoing the thread now to try use it as a true discussion on what props were used in the filming of the full sized cockpits.
As far research I have done looks like there is two different types used in the Xwing series.One is the yoke type seen in the deleted scene of the female pilot.The other is a side on shot filming of the other pit with a standard stick arrangement with frontal control box.
Luckily Tie,s are a standard setup with curved yoke type grips with central targeting screen box.
Knowing they used salvaged aircraft type parts during prop making am wondering what British aircraft would have been used..i do know a Graflex and a cassette deck made it into the Xwing..
 
Been doing some CAD work on outlining the general shapes that I can pickup off the photo.Next step will be 3D after working out the mechanics on how the yoke will turn in all 3 axis required for flight. Xwing yoke.jpg
