Star Wars legacy costumes and props

Some friends and I were discussing doing some Legacy costumes recently and decided to tackle them for D*Con. We aren't (as much as we'd like to) doing knights, but other characters. I got assigned to Cade Skywalker myself and will surely post pics once I have the time to get started on something. It's mentally all planned out already and will be mostly leather armor.

I'm almost more excited to see my friend and his girlfriend as the twilek Jedi and darth talon.

i will be at dragonCon in atlanta.. in august.. i will be looking forward to seeing the costume in person.
yeah Cade Skywalker is a good character to do... the paints look like vaders along with the vader shin guards.

Well...IF anyone would be able and willing to do him, how about a new exciting project for our very own Thomas aka Clone Emperor :D?.

I was planning on doing Cade's costume for C4 but have since made other plans. I have a set of his armor (unfinished) cut out of 1/8" aluminum and a great trench coat pattern if anyone's interested.

Can you post some pics of this up.. i might be interested...i really like Cade Skywalkers outfit
 
Thanks for the comments on the saber folks, I had a great time making it, first saber I ever turned out. I traded it along with a force pike I had made for some Crimson Empire stuff but I'm finishing another that's more accurate right now. I'll post pics from different angle once it's finished, but for now here are some shots of my tunic undersuit and belt.

Hey DR,

very nice suit and belt you did there but only a thought would it be not better to wear and walk arround if the pants would not be in leather like the Darth Maul suit pants? That´s only a thought because till now I did not find very good pics of the Imerial Knights were the pants would be to see clear.

That is impressive DR. Love that belt. if you have a tutorial or could possibly post the materials and methods to make one I know I would have a new project to hammer out.

That suit looks sweet too. I bet it is hot as a muthuh in there. Too sweet lookin though. Nice work :eek
 
Thanks folks; the pants and shirt are actually a fitted Vader body suit and the tunic and tabbards are to be a light leather or pleather material per Jan Duressma (Legacy artisit/writer). She was kind enough to provide some sketches and a color chart over at the Flagship Eclipse site after the interest level went through the roof for the Knights.
Actually not too hot, even with the pleather tunic over top. ;)

The belt is not too far off from the typical Jedi belt;

4" leather sash
2" belt
1" inner belt
2" rectangle buckle blank with Imperial disk
2 small pouches, 1 larger pouch
Saber hanger

Just joined the flagship eclipse forums. Will follow that very closely. I think the Imperial knight is going to be my next costume.
