How'd you get such clean sound files???
Is the gaffi an original or one of the copies from Tom Spina's one he offered years back? I'm curious because it has a very screen-accurate looking "head" and Tom's was the closest to the screen version I've seen.
Great collection ! I have the same desk and computer, with my MR Falcon on the top shelf !
It is real. I got it imported from Jack's of Fiji - Home. They do not have it pictured but they usually do have them in stock, just email them and they are real good about answering. I simply sent them/linked an image of the type I was looking for. They have two sizes, 30 and 40 inches. i bought the small at first but once i had it together, it just did not seem right, so I got the larger one.
Two things you need to know.
1. The cost for the club is pretty decent, but you will end up paying double for shipping/custom costs. IMHO, worth it.
2. The tip is not right. There is a knot in the center of the tip. See here for an image: http://www.therpf.com/f9/finished-my-anh-tusken-raider-gaffi-stick-159341/ However it is easily taken care of with a Dremel and some dark brown paint.
My thanks to Fort Tusken for fabricating the mace end.

Thanks for noticing. I just added that to my collection a few months ago. I knew I had to have one after I saw Phil's (rebelscum) in his collection last summer.

I bought one from the competing "Fijishop" many years ago. Two of them actually; the first one I got in the large size and it was just too large. I ordered a second one and communicated in detail with someone "I think" was named Angie or Angela. I gave her pretty descriptive dimensions and particulars of the original, screen-used piece, but what I wound up with was pretty much potluck. It was close, but no cigar. That you came that close with yours is awesome! I'd spend the extra bucks again if I thought I'd come up with something like that. I also have the mace end from Fort Tusken; it's got a good bit of rust by now but it'll do!![]()
I also see you've gotten together the Rebel limpet mine from ROTJ. I remember sending you a couple of those silver dynodes a few years back. Are those the one(s) on the mine you've photographed or maybe resin copies? The color looks a bit different than the silver from the dynodes I sent...
The size thing is really weird to figure out. I read on a website that had Tusken costuming tips that Tom Spina's replica club was 33". So I originally bought the 30" one. I had seen Phil's and held it and I though it looked too big. Plus I am 5'7" so if I ever did costuming with it, it thought it might be proportional. I further made the mistake of getting the prequel short mace for the same reason. When I put it together, it looked great but it just was too small. It was perfect for my 10 year old son. FortTusken was able to build me an extension piece that is undetectable, but it still did not seem big enough for the over all size. I kept raising it over my head in the mirror and looking at the classic Tusken image and the club was too small. So I got the larger one. Once I got it together and did the comparison between mirror and image, it looked right. Now I am no expert so take my recommendations with a grain of salt. But in short, the big Gaffi i saw in Phil's collection is what I happily ended up with
Here is me with Phil's gaffi stick.

The idea was to piece together multiple items like from the dollar store and fabricate something. However, after many lengthy searches, I found nothing useable.

If you need those diodes back, just drop me a line and I can get them back to you. They are in my special prop parts box.
What's the story on Wicket the Ewok? Was he a one off?
