Solider Your tutorial is great and your belt looks amazing, but I'm not skilled enough to take on that project. haha
That shirt is close as well as the boots, looks like a great X-O look!

I admit it took some work getting it right. the second time would be easy. The issue is finding a good distressed belt. I find that hand picking one from the store in the mall, the Buckle has yielded quality that dos't get stretch marks over time. I have three belts from them, some over five years old, all look good as new (including my OX belt I made.

Don't buy the be;ts you find online that sell for $5 - $15 that say distressed and look nice in the photo, they are crap and will not last. the belts I buy are around $40(on sale) to $60+.

I could make one for you, but the issues is, I used my waist to place the extra riveted pieces on. they go in the front left corner and back right corner of the waist. I guess I could have someone measure there waist with a belt on, with it buckled start from the end of the strap where it connects to the buckle. measure to where you want the middle of the first front left piece to be then from the same starting point to the back right and where the middle of the second piece to be.

Second issue is over all length. I have to know what you belts are now (not waist) I have about a 32 waist but my belts are 24 - 36. then I need to find a quality belt that is 46 -48+ . then I cut the extra length off and use the pieces to rivet to the belt staining the cut edges. after that I would leave as much length as I could. it would be on you to cut more off if it's too long still and have holes punched for you belt. I find that you don't want extra holes if you can help it. the fewer the better.

I suppose that I could make the belts, I already have the tools and dyes and leather treatment solutions. I could buy the belts as I find them, or a person could buy one and mail lit too me. ( no cheap belts, they have to be all 100% leather, preferably cow hide) that's why I prefer to hand pick them and not buy them online. I guess it would have to be ironed out between parties through PM's but I think if you are aware of every thing I explained, I could make you a belt.

I will have to think on price. I would only work on belts that are already dyed and distressed, I did mod the one I have to make it more distressed and it was a pain in the *****, at one point I thought it was not going to work out. and I would have to start over on a new belt.

Let me know who might be interested. and I guess we would have to talk :D

Solider Wearin' my X2 leather battle suit gets hot, but it's well worth the attention. If both your shirts are cotton you should be fine because it breaths. You'd be surprised how many people will appreciate an authentic and complete Wolverine outfit.

Found this tonight

I found a few "close enoughs", by searching "mens brown aviator sunglasses" or "mens brown sunglasses", none of them were exact but pretty close and I found some at about every price range. Honestly, I can't speak for the quality of any of them. I couldn't pay 400-500 dollars for sunglasses, that is almost the price for a vanson X-1 jacket, so if I get some they will be "close enoughs". lol Here are the ones I found.

Johnny Aviator Sunglasses ($24.95) http://www.inspiredshades.com/johnny-sunglasses.html

Boca Raton Matte GoldBrown Polarized ($30.00) http://surfshop.com/online/bodyglov...wn Polarized&gclid=CL-kx4eN970CFUQF7Aodk3wA-Q

Suncloud Aviator Sunglasses ($59.95)- http://www.designer-reading-glasses...-sunglasses/?gclid=CKefsOLRgb4CFSgQ7Aod-2UAXg

(the Oliver Peoples Sandford are for comparison)

Those look similar to the sunglasses he is wearing in X-Men: DOFP. I'm not sure if they are the same glasses, but they are Oliver Peoples Sandford and look the same to me. They look really close, if they are not the exact same glasses. So, I think Soulinertia is right!

Who the **** would be retarded enough to buy 500 dollar sunglasses. Guess I can't say anything because I have leather jackets worth more..............................

@comonbub Exactly, I can justify spending that on a jacket, but NOT sunglasses. That's why I posted the "close enoughs" I found so far. Maybe we can find some better cheaper versions; I think the ones I posted look close to them, but no where near exact.

I know a few Iron Man costuming enthusiast that have spent that much on some of the sunglasses that RDJ wore in the movies as Tony Stark. ;) Not me though. I guess if you have the money to blow then it is just a drop in the bucket. Wish I were that lucky. :/

Awesome finds with the close enoughs! I was browsing for any real pics of a DOFP leather jacket replica, but the only one I found is waaay off, plus the site made FJ's wall of shame. I emailed one Chicago based site to ask if they had on-hand pictures of their jacket, but all I got was an auto-reply.

darkside501st Yeah, there are people that go the extra mile, unfortunately I don't have the funds for that either. I have a buddy that works at a sunglasses store I may see if they have a similar pair, but their glasses aren't cheap so I will probably be going the online route if I get some. JLeezy23 Thanks, I'm leaning towards the Johnny Aviator Sunglasses they look the closest to me of what I have found. As far as the jacket goes, I would wait until Vanson and Heron does their versions of it. The market will be flooded with cheap rip offs.
