The Winter Soldier - Costume Research Thread

So I have decided to go armless, and instead go with just a glimpse of silver hand and wrist, and buying a pair of similar fingerless leather gloves, but my problem is finding a suitable silver glove that would imitate silver. Can someone point me in the right direction?

... And by right direction I mean possibly a link?

Greetings all, I am trying to hunt down the pattern for the leather "vest". The more research I have done on this garment, the more I wonder if it was designed to have removable sleeves? The under arm is definitely not leather. I would really like to make a screen accurate one..

Anyone have any close up pix of TWS's holster rigs? I am hoping to have my TWS ready for Philadelphia comic con, Sebastian Stan will be there.

Has anyone here mounted the subgun to your back yet? I'm thinking magnets may be unsightly and not carry enough weight.

Also, Edge, your build is amazing.

Here's what I did:
On Amazon there is a listing of a resin "Blade runner Leon's Pistol" It is a .357 COP derringer that WS carries on the top right holster.
The casting is OK. It does require air bubble filling and some paint but you should be able to come up with this:2014_0413ella0001.JPG

Awesome arm! I'm looking at different techniques at the moment, trying to figure out what is the best fit for me. Where did you get that ace gun prop from by the way?

Thank ye! It's built up off of a WE M4 gas rifle, with a monolithic upper and a bunch of other fixings. About half are just actual AR15 bits.

In the meantime I just managed to mount the VZ61 to my back via magnetic holster!

Edge- no problem! I'm really curious about your build methods, wish I could read Japanese. That covering you used seems to take a sheen really well.

Okay, so all his guns are done. Now, to cast his back knives and whatnot.
Couldn't be assed to make a really accurate COP .357 or a really nice .38 Derringer thing so I sorta grabbed some Bondo, polystyrene and some crappy dart guns and winged it. Whomever designed this holster, ******** this thing is not practical.

The MGL looking thing on the right is just a painted Nerf gun, for those convention days where you want to go outside but don't want to be shot by police.

Hey guys, would a colt 25 be an ok understudy for the .357 COP?

Has anyone figured out how to mount the guns on the right holster? Magnets or elastic?
Also does anyone have a good pic of the left holster/p226?

Preacherman:
Nice stuff. Excellent job on the harness.
Haven't worked the magnets for the skorpion out yet myself. First try was unsuccessful.

Rammyz- I use a thermoplastic clip that holds the two guns on the right that wraps around the side. I'll get pictures when I'm back at a computer. Whether the Colt .25 is a good replacement is up to you! I think it'd look fine- I cut a 2 dollar dart gun up and Bondo'd it into a rough .357 shape, the Colt would likely look cleaner!

Westarsmith- thanks! What replica are you using? I needed to take the weights out of mine for it to work.

Pint Sized Fett

Thank you! I made by myself.

It's brilliant! Would you be willing to share your method in a tutorial?

Yes, No problem!
This is My Mask
IMG_2554.jpg

My mask is made from the 3-mm-thick EVA sheet (foam).
And the coat of the surface is carried out by Plasti Dip.
Since there is no photograph in the middle of manufacture, it cannot explain well.
I'm sorry.

However, the place which sells the yesterday very good mask was found.
