Hello Everyone! I am new to the forum and I recently finished my first Iron Man build. I went the Pepakura, Fiberglass, Car Bondo, and foam route. It took me 10 months to build. I took several breaks during the 10 months due to frustration. This was the first time I have ever attempted anything like this. I would estimate that it cost me about $ 1200 dollars spread out over the 10 months. Fiber glass and car bondo add up!! Let me know what you think!!! The hands, helmet, boots, and abs are foam, everything else is solid!
1st Pepakura piece. For anyone trying for the 1st time be patient. (the cup in the pic has Rum and Coke, you will need it haha!)

One arm almost complete.

Starting the Chest

Card Stock Chest Complete.

Inside of chest is Fiber glassed, and the 2nd coat of bondo was applied and sanded. I found that after I did a round of sanding I could do a light coat of paint and it would highlight all the blemishes and then I used my Black and Decker Mouse sander like an eraser and sanded all the blemishes away.

Painted chest

Fiber glassed bicep w/ no bondo next to a bicep that has bondo and paint

First Forearm.

I eventually made a duct tap mannequin to add the pieces as I made them. As you can see with the partially made shoulder.

Legs

Most of the pieces laid out on the table.

Here is the finished product. I have worn it to children's hospitals, birthdays, my son's school, and other volunteer things. The other day i wore it to a super hero pub crawl. It was awesome. I took hundreds of photos.
