Hey guys! So Kristin got me some CORCORAN JUMP BOOTS for my Cap costume! (As well as wearing out on a regular basis-like I am tonight to go see Les Mis).

Christmas was amazing and I'm looking forward to this coming year! Also excited to see everyone else' projects!

HI EVERYONE! So just getting a day off to start work on these beauties. My new Corcorans! Wowzers, they are gorgeous out of the box. But let's be honest, Captain America doesn't do gorgeous, does he? No.

So with a little spit and sand paper, I took the shine down on the left boot to see what I could do to man them up a bit. Not perfect, but a start.

I will be down at the USO later today (where I actually keep my costume, where more fitting in NYC right?) so I will be bringing my old boots home (that I actually use as work boots and my INDY boots) and restore them to their former glory.
 
Hey guys, so here is my new set of boots! Woot! Sorry I've been offline for a few months now. Just trying to make ends meet during the winter time. We all know how that is, I'm sure. But anyway, here is the pic!

ALSO, Kristin and I are heading off to a CRUISE on the Disney Fantasy, but first stopping in Orlando to enjoy SEA WORLD, DISNEYWORLD, AND UNIVERSAL (HARRY POTTER AND MARVEL!!!!) Gonna take lots of pics! Have not taken a real vacation since our honeymoon a few years ago, and never done a cruise. Going to be a blast!

Man, that suit still just rocks.

I've never been to New York. What kind of reactions did you get? Also, did you acquire a new shield to replace the Disguise one?

So guys, here is a few pics of the awesome CAP I met in Florida at Universal Islands of Adventure. Very cool guy, and he made mention of both my shirt and boots without me saying anything. He said he used to have a pair like that (the boots) and missed his old clothes (the shirt). Very fun. I then told him I was a big fan and really enjoyed dressing up in his costume and he asked to see some pics of my costume. So I pulled up the only one I had on my phone and showed him. He seemed very happy and impressed. Needless to say, so was I. So Cap, if you have read my posts, Thanks for a memorable experience pal.
 
Love that SSR shirt. Where did you get it? I have been looking for one, but can only find them on ebay, on heavy standard cotton. I would love one printed on an athletic fit shirt.

Hey Maxx! I ordered mine off ebay using the size chart. I wish it were a bit longer, since I have such a long torso, but it fits me pretty well still.

I do wish the coloring on the logo and arm were slightly more brown in hue. When I got the shirt, I was surprised to see it was actually a green logo. Maybe when you order it, ask them if it can be changed to a light brown instead. Maybe it is supposed to be brown, and the ink ran low so it came out funky, but nevertheless, I am going to make sure I ask next time for myself.

Yes I did get a new shield! It's amazing! Thank you for the comment on the suit. I normally go out once a week and just talk to kids when I don't have work. It's been pretty cold out, but I mean Cap was frozen for 50 years anyway, what's a few more hours?

One 3 year old had a joke for me last night. Why did the horse blow his nose? To get rid of his NAAAAAAAAsal discharge. Cute kid.
