Luna's Ultimate Spider-Man Build, Orhadar Print. [Pic Heavy]

Amazing!

Which of the TJack lenses did you use? The larger or smaller ASM2?

Thanks! Haha, as I've explained several times, these are the LARGER size budget ASM2 frames. :)

Add me to that list. I saw your pics on Reddit. ;)
Cool stuff! Glad I could bring some new members on board.
I believe he used the smaller ones.
Nope, sorry, these are the LARGER ones.

I think its the bigger ones.
Correct!

About the zippers, do you prefer U-zip over straight (spine)? Or would you do it different next time? (If you would build another costume) :)

I would go for u zipper along the sides and back waist line.
I think you will not be free to move with a zipper along the spine. You cant bow and put ur head down etc.

It seems like this question still comes up a lot, so even though it's a little off topic, let me do a quick breakdown of the different ASM2 frames that TJack offers.

The first frame that TJack made (and still offers) is the "Large" size budget ASM2 frames, from his general spider-man lens thread. It covers a lot of surface area and has a pronounced 'swoop,' very comic book like. This is the frame used in this thread, and can still be ordered.

Later, after more reference photos surfaced, TJack wanted to offer a frame that was a bit closer to the size of the movie lens, so he made the "smaller" sized budget lens from his general spider-man lens thread.
They look like this, and can still be ordered:

Over the last few months, TJack has been working on a more elaborate lens and shell combination. This is the "Amazing Spider-Man 2 Faceshell and Lens Combo" set and it incorporates features that aren't present on the budget eyes, such as domed plexiglass lenses that curve outward from the frame just like the movie suit, recessed areas in a newly sculpted shell form that let the lenses lock into place with rare-earth magnets, and an updated frame shape that has been tweaked, adjusted, 3-D printed and then cast, molded, and finished to fit the vaccuformed faceshell. You can think of it as the 'deluxe' version of the ASM2 frames. These have a long waiting list, and look like this (images from pandatrooper and TJack).

I prefer U-zip over straight spine zips, to allow the most amount of stretch and flexibility in the back. If I were to do this project again, I would still use a u-zip, but I would have at least the zippers fit by a seamstress in person, since the zips work a lot better if they are measured to match your dimensions precisely and account for the fabric stretch along their path. Various zipper placements can work well for people if their tailoring and sizing is done well.
Trophywife does good tailoring for being at such a distance from her clients, but for fasteners it's still better to be sized in person. For instance, the u-zips on this suit are a little too long for my frame.

My next suit that I'm working on uses a pattern that is neither straight zip nor u-zip, but because I'm trying to accommodate a different pattern style than this. Not for function or comfort. I like the u-zip, as it offers a lot of flexibility and hides the zippers well. There's a reason they used it for four movies in a row.

They are the larger TASM 2 versions. Haha and I also found the RPF through the Ultimate build on Reddit. So thank you Luna!

Hey there Lunaman before I ask my question I just wanna let you know I literally made an acount to compliment you on the best Spidey costume I've ever seen!
Now to my question I read the past comments and noticed no one asked about the cool looking spider web bag you had on with your costume. So my question is did you buy or make the backpack bag? And if so, how?

Again amazing costume! :D

Thanks for the kind words!

I made the bag myself. It's a pretty simple build, and cheap. I started with a child's blank white facemask from a craft store. It provided the basic structure. Then I sewed together a white covering/bag out of spare lycra scraps. I made the straps out of rexlace that I wove though holes I punched in the facemask and then covered the outside with layers of the same lace to look like webs, and added some hot glue details to anchor the everything and make the details look a little more organic. The result was a handy little bag that I could keep my cellphone, keys, and ID inside. :)
