Iron Man MKVII build

HI everyone,

I've been browsing this forum for a while before I made my first post. I read darksider501st's thread almost all the way through in order to get as much info as possible on the MKVII build.

So it goes without saying, that I used darksider501st's pep files for this build.

I only just started, so not much progress here to show, but I will continue to post as much updates as possible.

I started out with the upper and lower forearm, to get used to pepakura.

This is the upper part:

It's a tight fit. But that makes it all the more realistic. I will be cutting the edges a bit on the inside once the fiberglassing and filling part is done.
The length is ok I think. If I made the scale a bit larger I would end up with a forearm that surpasses my elbow and we don't want that.

The lower forearm will be a tight fit too, but I might cut of a piece from front to back so I can slip my arm in from underneath and close it again.

Here's the progress on the lower part.

I hope I'm not making a mistake by trying a tight fit. I used scale 24 for this. I will most likely need to use a larger scale for my legs and torso.

It will be a recipe of different scales :)

I would really appreciate your input on this, as there are many skilled builders on this forum.

Thanks for reading.

EDIT: for those who are interested, I also started a FB page on this: https://www.facebook.com/IronManMarkVIBuild?ref=hl

Yes there are indeed a few builds here :D.

I will continue this build with the handplate and hand. I had to scale down the handplate pretty far in order to make it allign with the arm.

Thanks, but I'm doing just fine for now :) (I think)

Yesterday I finished the biceps for the upper arm.
