Greetings to the RPF Members (and lurkers too)

My name is Welby, I have been a long time lurker and admire of the awesome talent on this site.

I am looking to get back in to creating and making costumes as I have been in recovery from a severe injust that left me sensitve to light. So now I have to wear very dark sunglasses pretty much 24/7 (sucks).

Now have have created a few Superman suits, body armor (which failed), and then created my own prosthetics for Demon and Zombie themed costumes.

Since FanExpo Toronto is fast approaching I am looking for assistance with ideas and advice how to put together a Venom Costume. I have all the material I need to create Venom. All I need is a fe pointers as it has been a very long time.

I am working with a Old bodysuit pattern 9pic to come later) which is about 8years old. This will be my very firdt attempt to make a full body suit. I've been noticing these dye sub patterns look easy to put together. But my funds are limited I cannot get a pattern printed of the Venom Costume.

Another problem is the FaceShell. I am wondering if it can be modified so I can wear glasses underneath it. Or are there some members who wear glasses and have cosplayed Spiderman/Venom who didn't have issue with the Face Shell

I am also wondering which Symboite Spider to use as there are many to choose from and which one will be easier to use so it can be added to the suit

I would also like to add texture by adding Puff Paint to the costume. I would like to know what additive to add to Puff Paint so it will stretch with the fabric

Thank you ahead of time.

Puff paint already stretches with the fabric make sure you are using tulip slick or metallic not tulip puffy because then you will have to iron your suit and you could potentially ruin it

Also your middle logo seems easiest to cut out and it will be easier to join on both sides of the suit. As long as your glasses aren't cartoonishly big they should be fine under a shell but that's if you're using that kid mask cos it lays a few inches from your face. Hoped this helped man good luck with your build

If you can get another pair of glasses (or just the lenses, you'd be removing them from the frames anyway), I feel like you could attach the lenses to the inside of the shell pretty easily.

Unfortunately removing the lenses (its a good idea) cannot be done.
When i remove the mask I will still need to see. Having my lenses part of the mask will leave me almost blind when I take the mask off. So I need to make adjustments to the face shell to accomplish this.

Just pulled out my pattern and lol im missing gloves and a hood.

This is what im working with. Any suggestions?

@ Blackknight.... I mean no disrespect and as the idea is sound and I thank you for it. But do to my injury it wont work.
I am open to other suggestion though.

Its my body suit pattern I had for the last 8years.... LOL
The Idea for this pattern is one half of the body. You fold the material then you have a complete body suit that need just to be sewn up.
Made two Superman suits this way.
If you or anyone else can tell me where I can get a new printable pattern or at least the hood and gloves.

Lol I thought it was half the muscle suit pattern and yes there's a guy called kenlandrum who gave a free pattern I'll link you to his thread or I have a pattern of his already resized to fit someone 5"6" if you are that size pm me
