Great costume!!! Are you going to do the "stealth" Shield? I have mixed feelings about it. He's Captain AMERICA, there should be red on the shield!! Blue is my favorite color though, and it does have an urban camouflage look.

Anyway, awesome work!!!

That looks awesome! Did you make and paint that yourself?

Thanks! Nah I'm going to stick with the R/W/B colours. It doesn't look that appealing to me having the 'stealth' colours to it.

EDIT: Why does the word 'colour' have a red line under it? ;)

Acquired a ton of different components and assembled and painted it here, yes. Now I need a stealth costume to go with it!

Okay, anyone have an idea of what EVO-stick would be here in the states? Gonna try to the foam route for the star and stripes since I have tons of that lying around from other projects.

The back of the shield has been repaired. Just a recap (ha) on what it used to look like and what it's like now.

And the front. When I go to pick it all up on Monday we're going to decide if we're going to battle damage it.

Really nice looking shield. I guess the Cap has two shields in the movie.
One new stealth and then his full color that was frozen with him.

And Brandomack, great job on the crest.

Thanks a lot everyone! I'm really happy with this suit.

For those wondering about how I hook the shield to my back, it's quite simple. We attached a thin strip of leather to each of the handles on the back and then a tiny metal hook to the top of the back buckle thingy. The strip also gets covered by my arm when I'm holding the shield so you can't notice it at all.

We were going to put a magnet on the middle of the shield and to the back of the buckle but this is the Disguise shield and it's domed alot more than the movie one is so the magnets wouldn't have been able to make contact. I am able to hook the shield onto my back myself so that's a plus.

Here are some pictures to see what I mean. (If you can make them out).
