I've been working on the uniform Cap wears in The First Avenger when he goes to rescue Bucky and i'm at kind of a roadblock.
I've got everything else for the costume, even the M3 Trench Knife, but what i'm stuck on are the goggles. In the movie he wears AN-6530 goggles, like actual U.S. paratroopers wore. But I can only find one website that makes reproduction goggles, and they're $150. And have been sold out for months now. The only others I can find online are vintage WW2 goggles and they sell for several hundred each.
Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative or anyone who can make goggles that are similar enough that they can't be told apart?
