I can't believe DragonCon is less than 3 months away!! Gearing up for this one has been loads of fun as our group is doing a Wild West Themed Batman and Rogues Gallery this year. Easy to see who I picked
Took me a while to figure how I wanted Joker to look. I didn't want to do the overly colorful Joker but needed to retain something that says 'Joker' as well as keeping the villain in black look. With the Oil Can Harry Mustache dyed red to represent the Joker's Grin instead of red lips I think It'll work. Also wanted to keep the makeup more in tuned to Ledger's not-so-neat face paint.
Frock coat, vest, shirt, and puff tie are from Western Emporium (love that site!)
Right now, our group has:
- Batman (Both Batman and Batgirl cowls being done by Bat Texan!)
- Robin (former Cavalry soldier)
- Nightwing (Native American)
- Huntress (Native American)
- Solomon Grundy
- Poison Ivy
- Mad Hatter (female)
- and a tentative Sheriff Gordon
Enough typing--hope you enjoy the pics. More here: Joker 1877 - a set on Flickr
I also would like to give a big 'Shout Out' to the lovely Mrs. Theresa Kennedy, owner of The Old Mill Restaurant in beautiful downtown Acworth, GA. Thank you so much for allowing Joker to crash your joint for the pics!
