I am currently in the middle of a custom Hawkgirl creation for a Comic Con coming up in September. I am hoping to get both this and another project finished by September 13th.
I have purchased two sheets of worbla, a bunch of fabric, and a few giant ornament spheres to start the project.
Pictures so far.
I started with a foam head, but those display heads are pretty tiny, so I built it up with some aluminum foil and duct tape. Then I covered it in a layer of aluminum foil to prevent the worbla from sticking.

Slowly making progress on the helmet:

Adding scales to the helmet for some uniqueness:

My wife is making the chest armor:

And! I started on the wings. These I made out of some corrugated plastic that we had laying around in the shop, some PVC pipe, couplings, PVC 90 elbows, and 4 galvanized pipe straps. It is all held together with rivets!

More pictures and progress to come!
