Building my own Macrobinoculars

Man!!! o_O i reme, ber to days when we useto do this with tupperware......LOL
Am jokeing...i am just starting to open my eyes to this new world of "replica" props and not the ghetto props i am useto building......
Wow very cool i will never loolk at Luke Macrobinocluars in the same way......

How many of you are interested in a little run of lens plates. I contacted Russ and he told me he needs 10 or more orders to do this at cheap costs.

I'm in for two plates, so 8 more to go. Anyone???

Thanks to Chris Reiff I now have 2 Kaligar lenses. I made the lens plate from a plastic plate we use in construction (sorry Russ). So this baby is finally finished. The only thing missing are the two little thingies on the lens I got from Chris. So if anyone has some of these (resin?), or knows where to get me two of these please tell me.
Enough talk, here are some pictures.

I wanna take some more pictures of the macro when it's lying in the sand, but I have to wait for better light conditions.
Anyway, time to thank everyone that helped me out with advise and other stuff. It was a great project and I had a lot of fun with it.

So I finally got my hands on a Eumig. I'm curious how everyone is attaching the black transition box (looks like Killdozer used screws, and I imagine he drilled and tapped his own holes on either side of the Eumig lens but I can't be sure)

Also curious about the belt clip. Almar, did you just use some leftover aluminum from making the box and rivet it on? That's what it looks like but I can't figure out your attachment method.

One more thing, anyone have any leftovers? I'm so broke right now it ain't funny, so I have no clue when I'll be able to get my hands on the other EXPENSIVE parts. :lol

I made the belt-clip out of some aluminum left-overs from work. It's about 3 mm thick. And then made a 5mm plastic spacer to put between the eumig and the belt-clip. Attached it with two rivets as you can see in the pics.

Don't forget, I still have an extra Macro for sale. It just needs a lens plate and the Kalimar lenses :love.

I'm not sure I ever got a template for the transition box that had measurements.

Anybody got that info? I tried contacting Killdozer a little over a month ago, but no dice...

Okay Almar, can you explain to me the best way to get the knobs off the Seagull?

I honestly am having trouble getting into this thing, it's a really pretty camera.....
