Batman Arkham Knight- first post :D

Hello everyone! its my first time posting here at RPF

So i was planning to be the Arkham Knight version in our local convention this october. .

This is my progress so far. .
*sorry for bad picture quality. .



Im still new in crafting so i have question regarding how to paint my costumes,

Now guys how can i achieve this kind of texture on my props

@_@ the carbon fiber detail on his shoulder and other platings for me is so hard to achieve T_T


your suggestions and comments is very much appreciated. .thanks in advance

I would get a carbon fiber vinyl wrap and wrap your foam parts that have that look to them. For the rest, I would just use a few layers of plasti-dip to get that rubber look and feel.

thanks guys and for the answer Iggy . . i actually i ddnt base this on pepakura files . . .
only done this while looking at reference pictures

Really awesome, Love the fact that you made it from scratch. How did you get the lines in the armor, is it layered? (sorry can't zoom in enough) Really would love to see a tutorial of you making some of these pieces. Keep up the great work!!!!!!!!

thanks man . . basically i dont know how to do 3D/pepakura designs.( which i really wanted to learn )so all of them are just made out of scratch. making armors out of reference pictures is so hard especially when OCD strikes XDbut for the cowl, i did use a pep file for it but the pep file is for a Power rangers helmet ( which explains that its weird looking ). i customize it myself. i ddnt really take pictures when i was doing this so i can really post it here though T_T for now im just working on the boots and the shin guards and some few gadgets and i hope i can post the pictures here if i can

For the painting.. If u dont want to cover it with fabric or vinyl.. U might want to use this drawer mat stuff.. Then spray paint over it... I did this to give a nice carbon fiber effect on my old ps3..
I know there is a tutorial on youtube

also made the utility belt. .



i shall start painting if im not slacking off XD

Dude those boots look awesome I wish I hope I can do as good of a job on mine. I plan on using the same design for my Red Hood cosplay.
Again great job.

small update. .

tried to color the chest part. .which look like an armored bra XD



gonna repaint it though with a different kind of grey, cause it look grey. .

so what do you comment for the color scheme guys? im quite confuse because there's a lot of reference pictures. .
