Batman AC Pepakura Development

Hey just to let you guys know i have made a arckham city armored edition gauntlet already unfolded and free to download here is the link Batman Arckham City Armored Edition Gauntlets by ~smlima on deviantART
I have also got other stuff including arckham origins deathstroke helmet, etc

Great to see some more people working on batman stuff, though... I think this thread doesn't quite get the recognition that it deserves, I mean, I haven't been able to find any other batman pep files (not including TDK files) other than here, and that's a LOooooooooooot of searching.

Did something happen, or did I not read things right????

Yeah, follow the link and it's the armored batman gauntlet. And then there is the deathstroke mask. Why, what did the link send you?

Well, the quote says free but when you go to the deviant art web page that both are the death stroke and the gauntlet they talk about correspondence in which a price will be discussed.... I was just wondering since as far as i knew I thought this project was going to stay as people donating their time and effort ,not charging people....I mean if needed i would not mind unfolding if that would help but if we are selling things, then we are selling things....

Hello everybody,

I'd just like to thank everybody for their input towards this thread, its been a real help in inspiring me to create a Hush/Arkham inspired bat suit. I've just ordered my Eastbay compression suit and I'm using a couple of files from this thread to help finalise the idea's in my head, once I get my 'gear' expect a build thread :)

Yet again many thanks, Dudeaz666

Hey everyone, I know I haven't posted in a while, things have been busy to say the least. At any rate, I created this thread with the idea that any patterns I posted would be free. I still stand by that (should I ever find the time to actually release new patterns they'll all be free). I don't endorse any of the paid patterns just to be clear. That being said, I hope we can keep producing free content for the community to use.

You did a great job on these papercrafts simplecomplex... they're really amazing :)

if you need help..
i can help you unfold the files and post it here :D

cheers to free files :thumbsup

Hey, SimpleComplex, earlier on postings you mentioned you were working on the grapple gun, but I never saw any files for it. Did it ever get finished, or is it on a back burner, or even still on the stove? Thanks for the time you've already put in for the community at large!

:( ... I need to learn how to model XD (no offense, his work, his prices)

Just to let you guys know the Batman Arkham City Black Mask and Batman Armored Gauntlet is not smlima's work! He is taking game model files and trying to sell them as his work.

If you want the files you simply need XNA Lara and you can download the files for free here:

XNALara Batman AA-AC favourites by bane-x on deviantART

When you open them in XNA Lara you can export the file as a OBJ file and open it in pepakura. I'm trying to get the word out because I have confronted him about it and he still claims they are his models! He even was trying to sell Johnnymuffintop's steam punk ironman as his file.

Now that.... is sad :( Are you absolutely sure? I really hate to come to a one hundred percent conclusion with one accusation (though, I know you wouldn't be just pointing fingers for 'fun').

Yes, I am 100% sure or I wouldn't be saying it. You can see for youself and download XNA Lara which is a free program and download the files. When you open them in XNA Lara you can export them as OBJ files which can be opened in pepakura.

The only thing smlima did was kept the parts of the game models he wanted, like the gauntlet part of Batman and the head part of Black Mask and deleted the rest of the model. The only models that were his were his Red hood helmets and the Deathstroke mask. The rest were game models and Johnnymuffintop's steampunk Ironman file.

Here's Johnnymuffintop's file:

Here's the thread Johnnymuffintop release his file in (for free):

http://www.therpf.com/f24/steampunk-ironman-helmet-wip-5-31-update-134021/

The only thing smlima did was weld the two halves of Johnnymuffintop's file together and claimed it as his own. He even made a thread that had progress pics, like he was building the model himself. When I confronted him about it he stated he mad some alterations and took that file down but kept the game model files up still claiming they were his files.

Here's some proof. It's not hard to get game models into pepakura amd even edit the models in a 3d program to crop out what parts you don't want when you figure out how to do it.

He just deleted the eyes, the hair piece at the top and cropped the head of Black Mask. He did the same for Armored Batman's gauntlet.

Also he deleted his profile so you can't go back and view the pics of his files but I'm sure you can still visit his deviantart page and compare to see what I'm talking about.
