Hi guys,
I'm planning on doing this costume this year:
I'll be using this thread to document any found components as and when they are identified.
If anyone has any ideas or can positively identify any components before I do, please feel free to chime in
more picures showing different angles would also be wecome
anybody got anything?
I'm nearly there identifying the clip pouches, but I'm really stumped as to the base chest/back armor.
maybe it was scratchbuilt????
I've spent this afternoon trawling the net looking at motocross armour, there's absolutely loads that look kinda, sorta but nothing that matches exactly.
I suspect at this stage that perhaps the front/chest part is from military or police body armour and the rear and arms is from motocross kit (obviously adapted for the eagle/bars).
I'll keep on trawling and see if I can't come up with anything more helpful!

I'm also trying to track down motorcycle leathers that look similar. I'm almost positive that's what the undersuit is.
I agree with that for sure, I wear leathers that are very similar with the exposed soft elasticy bits.

The lines all look too clean to be totally custom
don't be fooled! it's possible they even had 10, or however many uniforms they needed, custom made by an existing company like knox (check the end credits)
yeah, Knox do lot of custom bike stuff. But I'd put money on most of this being commercially available

To me the new Dredd body armour looks to be some kind of padded Police Riot vest with as you all quite rightly say MotoCross parts added
the Original Stallone armour was made up of Moto Cross parts.
The Boots i would say are Rigger type boots rather than Motocross though, with added shin armour and the knee and elbow pads look to be a nod toward 2000ad armour parts
I've got a few of the bits narrowed down, but nothing (either motocross or military) is exactly right
Ok so i found this Image that clearly shows his Body armour is ontop of what we think are Bike leathers by way of the straps at the shoulders
im tending to lean toward Police Body Armour with perhaps Motocross parts added
the body armour has a zipper up the fron of it too
Ps its safe to say also that the shoulder pads are going to be purpose made parts because of the eagle design
and the knees. possibly the toes, too
