I tried a few things... tinted PETG... Smoked Plexi... All were difficult to heat and bend and secure. Then I had an epiphany...

I'd use a tinted motorcycle visor. Done.

motorcycle visors have the wrong curve and can be expensive... But I'm sure you could get it to work if you really tried.

yeah, they can be pretty flexible if braced though - this is what I'd use in a heartbeat

Now I'm sure I'm using the wrong acronym but is it ABS plastics you vacuum molded over the visor piece you cut out of the cast?

YUP Volpin got it. Same thing used on the boba fett. Its a shade 5 welding face sheild.

Apologies. Am still kinda noobish and learning correct board etiquette. It's a bad habit clicking agree before reading the terms and conditions, south park's human centipad episode obviously taught me nothing. Won't happen again.

Back on topic this is an awesome build, great technique used with spot on results. Really looking forward to seeing how it looks finished and fully painted.

Well its for sure not Hight gloss. So somewhere in the middle of gloss and semi prolly.. Not sure yet.

Thats just sanded black primer so far.

Man it gets better every time i check this thread.
