Many of the organizers, volunteers and attendees of this event are RPF members.
It's a costumes-mandatory event, so we're talking about a thousand post-apocalyptic costumes all in one place. Replica costumes, original costumes, etc.
Prop making is a big part of the event too, from replica and custom weapons, to medium-sized scenery props, to full scale builds like Mad Max-style cars and compound structures. (We're currently building a new bar for this year, incorporating lots of automotive body panels).
Location is California City, CA. About 2 hours North of Los Angeles.
