Toronto Prop Party. May 19th Confirmed

Right back at ya, my fellow Canadian propper!

The train wouldn't be that bad.... I think its one train from Ottawa to Toronto's Union Station, and then there are a few GO Buses that run the newmarket to Union station route all day long. Just don't wear anything too crazy on the bus... the nutbags here in TO may take a liking too you.. haha.

How open or closed are these events? I would think it wouldbe open to try and get more people to pay admittance. Any problems with me advertising this event in other forums?

Hey Alex,

The best way to define this stuff is open to the prop and costume world of collectors. It&#39;s already up on a few sites, but if you can reach even more people then by all means...go right ahead. Just please keep it in prop and costume circles.

Just a reminder that the rooms are on hold for anyone needing them until the 19th of April. After that they no longer honor the room discounts for the prop party....so book your rooms&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;

Also, I just want to clarify that the prop party &#39;itself&#39; will be on the main floor of the hotel, will be full of desks for you all to set up your stuff on....or for those just wanting to attend to see the cool things and mingle, that&#39;s totally cool too&#33;&#33;&#33;&#33;....The room is huge, so there is plenty of room for anyone wanting to attend. At no point have I closed off this possibility to attend...it&#39;s open to ALL, those bringing costumes and props...or those just wanting to meet the people there and see some really neat stuff.

Anyone in the Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky area that is driving up and needs someone to share on fuel cost?
I want to go but my car is a little old for that far of a drive, and it might be to late to get a passport and fly.

Looks like I'm not going unless someone will take me up on my offer to share fuel cost and let me ride with them.

I'm trying to get some things ready for it, it's come up way too fast. :P

I will be there with Dr Slurpee and we will need a table for a few things to display.

What time in the morning are the doors opening at to set upthe displays?

Hello Everybody,
This is Rimma. Unfortunately and with deep regret we had to cancel the prop party.
We are working on a huge commission and Dave is on his 3rd day with 3 hours of sleep combined. AND it's not over yet!

I just wanted to say that when this party was originally planned we scheduled it during a window of time that was comfortable for us workwise. Since then we have received a ton of work that happened to be completed almost all at the same time. We have been trying to get it all done and still be able to do the prop party, but as of this morning we realized that it's just not possible. At the end of the day Dave is only human and can only do so much. SO, with great dissapointment and regret we are cancelling it. We will definitely reschedule it for another time.

Oh wow! What a serious disappointment.

Here's hoping it can be rescheduled sometime soon!

Isn't the "hall" already booked and such? Couldn't it still take place if someone else was to "manage" it? I certainly hope no one has plane tickets or something like that.

Ugh that is unforutnate as I was planning to see some friend sfrom out of town.

Guys DISREGARD THE CANCELLATION!!!! IT'S STILL A GO!!!

I am really very sorry for this panic moment I had. It hasnt been an easy last few weeks for us here and it was just a rash and wrong decision to cancel the prop party.

Please forgive my brief moment of weakness.....I have already reconfirmed the room so please just disregard this notice!!!!

How much for a table?
and is that US $ or Canadian $?

I would imagine it's in Canadian funds, I think the price per table depends on how many people are going to have tables...I'm a little confused by it all to so I am just going to worry about it when I get there.

I had a great time as well. It was great to see the familiar faces again, meet some familiar screen names, and overall see some nice work!
