No Thursday night meetup? I know there's a few going on, but I've seen Thursday night meetups of alot of the RPF's familiar faces around the Pulse Bar.
The SCF has a meetup in the Loft that night, so it might be a convenient thing to have one around there to kinda mingle and hang, and let those who want to grab drinks, grab drinks?

We fly in Thursday afternoon so we'd make it but I didn't put that as an option because I thought others weren't coming so early and wanted to include as many as possible.
I know alot of people will be there on Wednesday! We'll be up there staying with a friend Wed. night, but won't be down at the hotels until about 9am Thurs.
There could be multiple meetups too!

Out of curiosity, are you all gonna be in the parade/what will you be wearing in the parade? I don't have anything really impressive and new for myself this year, so I'm not sure what I'll be doing. Last year I wore my Dalek dress which seemed to go over well, but I'm not sure I want to do that twice in a row, even though the Doctor Who group was awesome.
We're arriving Wednesday and I think a Thursday evening meet up would be great.
I have never been in the parade before.
If there was a LOST group, I'd go just for the fun of it, but I don't know anyone but us who's dressing as LOST characters.
As for Thursday night - why don't we just try to put something together for then and maybe something later for those who don't get in that early? Where would be a good place?

I live 30 minutes southeast of Atlanta and will be there Thursday afternoon. Only bringing one costume this year and it is something semi original and in honor of the south. dont wanna give it away but we will be a group of about 8 possibly 10 sharing a common theme, dont wanna ruin it for anyone but lets just say the gods will be amused... or maybe insulted... we will see.
If any of you veterans dont mind having a drink and a few laughs with an aspiring costumer, by all means, feel free to speak up. I'm bringing 24 gallons of Pie =) I'll be the long haired guy in a homemade RPF T-shirt running around (possibly stumbling around) all weekend snapping photos and our group should be out Saturday evening in costume.
I'm coming in sometime on Thursday, not exactly sure when. We're driving from LA, most likely leaving sometime Wednesday morning, but we haven't set the time yet. The trip should take 36 hours give or take a couple.

Meet up spot is my input. Dinner would be hard to coordinate a reservation for that many people and since you have to sit down most of the time it would be harder to talk to everyone.CelticRuins said:

This is my first year going with a group of people who have already been a lot. I'm crazy nervous. Gonna be wearing a MK9 Sub-zero and medieval Dr. Doom outfit I'm working on. Looking forward to seeing everyone in their outfits and nerding out haha.
OK, it's looking like we'll be departing LA at about midnight Wednesday, so we should get there at maybe 6 PM Thursday at the latest. Thursday night would be great, and at a bar would be even greater.
This'll be my 1st DragonCon, but I'll be there. Snake Plissken.

I get in Wednesday night, so you'll likely see me mulling about the Pulse lounge around 11pm or so, since I will have worked 8 hours, went home for my luggage, then sat at a gate likely near my job and try to ignore coworkers, then fly out and lug all my costuming junk on Marta... so I will need a drink.
Either that or I will have passed the f--- out. Either way, I'll be enjoying myself.
