Comic Con 2012 Joe Maddalena interview

Joe Maddalena, CEO & president of premier Hollywood entertainment memorabilia auction house, Profiles in History, took a few moments to speak with Movie Prop Collectors at this years 2012 Comic Con.

The Profiles booth, #1605, was mobbed the entire con and thousands of fans and quite a few celebrities showed up to check all of original the cool props and costumes on display.

Items from Superman, Marvel’s Xmen, Willy Wonka, both the original Gene Wilder and Johnny Depp versions, Bicentennial Man ( a cool working robot head), original items from the Star Wars franchise, including an extremely rare Snowspeeder helmet & more.

I love how he's CEO and President of his own company. Like you need both titles.

I'm CEO and Vice President of my company, I put my partner in the President position because he's older and the title wears better on him. But when it comes down to brass tacts CEO is it baby!

He has to either buy a piece outright when a seller is ok with that instead of wanting top dollar or bid on it like everyone else does.

There were some great pieces in the Dreir collection, many purchased in previous PIH auctions.

My favorite was the Xmen 1 visor labeled as Xmen 2 in their booth this year.

Met Brian and Sam at dinner one night and Joe at breakfast. They were staying at my hotel. Great guys, ended up talking to them at the convention a lot. Great group of guys.
