California Comic Conventions! 2014!

Don't forget about Anime Expo in LA on 4th of July weekend... Cosplay is definitely not just anime... People come as everything.

Unless something changes this year, you can get into the convention center common area without a badge and just do cosplay stuff if you don't want to pay for the con...

Can't wait for AX, the cosplay there is always insane, and the entry hall doubly so since you never need a badge

Yep, and Labyrinth of Jareth is usually the same weekend (at least, it was last year), and a lot of the performers/cosplayers of that event will show up during the day at AX to show stuff off... Saw a lot of crazy stuff last year on the days of LOJ...

Sac-Con was yesterday. It's a smaller convention held in Sacramento as a kick-off to the convention season. It was a perfect test drive for my Spider-Man suit. Next weekend is Sacramento Comic Con (hosted by Wizard). I hope to see some of you there!

Weapons Policy:
In order to assure that everyone who visits Wizard World has a safe and enjoyable time, we have decided to institute a weapons policy, effective immediately.
• All weapons must be inspected by a member of our security staff and tagged prior to entry.
• Actual firearms of any sort are not allowed.
• Simulated weapons for cosplay purposes will be allowed, but must be non-firing.
• Bladed weapons must be affixed in their sheaths so that they can not be removed.
• If you are found with an untagged weapon inside the show, you will be escorted to security to have your weapon inspected and tagged.
• If you have a weapon that does not pass inspection, you will not be able to enter the show. If you are not sure about a weapon, or have a weapon that does not meet these policies, please leave it at home in order to assure entrance.

Thank you in advance for complying with this policy, and we look forward to seeing you at Wizard World!

alternatively, you can call ahead of time to see. They generally have pre-approved weapon lists and Thor Hammers are usually on that list.

Everyone going to Sacramento Comic Con this weekend:

I've been hired out to headline dance in my spidey suit for a club on Saturday for the official Wizard World after party:
