Armageddon expo Melbourne 13-14 Oct 2012 - Australia

Armageddon is so fast approaching, and there is good news for us Dr Who fans this year at the Armageddon expo, for fans that would like to display there life-size 1:1 scale Dr Who props. The event owner is a keen Dr Who fan and that is just such good news for us Dr Who fans,

Bill the event owner has kindly offered a free site at Armageddon to me to display my Daleks from Manhattan. Along with other Who stuff that I have made, and I am extending the offer to all Dr Who fans to come and hang out at the Dr Who Armageddon expo site.

If you have a Dr Who costume or life size Dalek let me know, so I can make room for you, space is limited but we have free space at Armageddon expo never the less.

It is early days, and I still have some fine detail to work out with Bill, but, if all go’s to plan, the offer will be extended to the Sydney Armageddon expo next year in April. As I understand it the 7th 8th and 9th Doctor will be at attendance, and Bill has mentioned that he would like a strong Dr Who theme.

So PM me if you would like to have your Dr Who life size prop on display, please note the space is limited and you will need to be present with your displayed prop at all times and so you can reply to any questions that get sent your way. I was there last year and it was big, 17,000 people passed through the doors, in 2 days, and I had very little time to my self, so join Dalek Caan and his Dalek friends this year at Armageddon expo.

Ok a quick update, with the area that we have been allocated with is 3m x 3m so, with what we have on display right now would see us full to capacity, and some. Not sure if the 3m x3m area is transcendental.

Daleks x 3 NSD's all of the gold type
Tardis x 1
Pinball Machine x 1
Display counter of Sonics and various DW items and collectibles.

Only will be taken with me some samples,

as there is no room for a display cabinet in the small area,

as there will be other Daleks in there as well, and also I am planning on bringing the Dr Who pinball machine with me, if I can get it all to fit inside the Hiace van, along with Dalek Cann.
You can see some of the items that I may bring with me at Prop Engineering under Rassilon.

Just deciding on which lamp to use? The David Tennant style or the Matt Smith/Hartnell lamp????? Or use one on day one and the other on day two.

Hi Guys,
If you only have a 3x3 space, I would recomend not having small props on display as they go missing VERY easily. We nearly had stuff go missing off the R2 table display at Oz Comic Con. Might bring R2 round for a few photo's

Apparently we are getting Armageddon over in Perth this year. Haven't really looked into it much but supernova is getting pretty big so lOoking forward to another con.

I was going to take some of my sonic and other stuff but your right, I think I will just take what will fit in my pocket.

Yeah same here, looking to catch up with you guys and talk who stuff,

last year was big very big, so I would think that it would be the same for Perth, I spent most of the two days talking about Daleks with Dalek Cann been a celeb with getting his photo take alot.

As Armageddon is fast approaching, I had to fast track the final build of Dalek Sec.

I didn’t have enough time to make the plunger so I made a Vault Dalek claw that was seen on the Daleks guarding Daveros, in (parting of the ways) have also decided to make the plunger are interchangeable with other Dalek devises.

For now Dalek Sec is powered by Flintstone technology and ready for Armageddon 2012

Hi guys just got back from Armageddon exbo and catching up on what’s been going on, it has been two very big and long days and still have to unload the Dalek transport vehicle, just checking the camera and as I was not doing the photo taking I was eager to see what the photo’s would be like.

It turns out that most were blurred,

looks like Traci was to excited about be there and could not stop shaking.

Oh well I guess I will have to wait till April next year, so the only photo’s that turned out any good were the ones I took. I do hope that PK has some real good ones.

We arrived at the Melbourne exhibition centre about 5:30pm and started to unload the two Daleks it didn’t take all that long about 30 min and they were out and on their way to their exhibitors stand.
