2012 Nor-Cal prop party

I had responded to the original poster that it could be held at our studio about 40 miles north of San Francisco...but he never got back to me.

Depending on when (and how busy we get), I'd still be up for it, but someone else would have to provide the organization.

Here's who we are and what we do:

Get your calenders out folks, and mark this date. This is a GENUINE tragedy. When Uncle Don sends a PM to an RPF member offering to host an event, AND THE DUDE DOES NOT RESPOND!!!!

Face palm.

Man, I'm tempted to organize the thing myself, if only to have a chance to meet up with Don and check out the studio. Honestly, this may go down in history as the most amazing missed opportunity ever to be found on the RPF.

SOMEONE please make this party happen. Zendragon? anyone???

Since no one responded, I guess there is not interest by those that live in the area. Oh, well.

I could tackle this, I'm in norcal a lot. a good friend of mine also owns a wheel shop that is basically a warehouse and we used to have large gatherings all of the time. only thing is that it would have to be somewhere around sept-dec.

We historically had our Nor-Cal prop parties in November when the were held in San Jose.

Since this has languished for a LONG time, and since I LOVE to party, I'm going to take a run at this. I've contacted Don, and will try to get things moving.

Even if NOBODY shows up, I'll be stoked because it means I will get to hang out with Don and tour the place unencumbered.

I will post more info as I find it.

As of right now, consider this an upcoming event.

I am having a party at my place Saturday. This isn't the larger prop party I had in mind, but it is a combo house warming, prop party, and the unveiling of "The Galactica War Room" If anyone would like to come by to the Sacramento area I'll send you direction.

Hammering out logistics for the location, but this IS going to happen on my watch. I'll have an announcement shortly, and will probably start a new thread so that I can manage the event more conveniently.

The location might not be super convenient to everyone, but I'm ABSOLUTELY certain it'll be worth the few extra miles northward.

I would love to have come by, but that was last week and I was in Merced. Go figure.
