2012 Las Vegas Trek Convention

Oh man, I wish I could go to this! But unless someone has a transporter, it's just not possible.

Anyway, you all looked like you just got beamed down, yourselves!
Terrific costumes!

Well, we did make two days of this one, and had a great time overall- everyone is always so nice at these events.

Here are a few select photos from the event.

For the second day, we both got busted down to enlisted... but still managed to get captains, commodores, admirals, and even bears to pose with us:










I'd say it was a very fun convention.

Is the guy in the science uniform smiling or grimacing from the pain of those boots? I still love the original uniforms.

The funny thing is that fifteen minutes ago I was looking to see if there will be any decent Star Trek conventions soon in Orlando.

There were a number-

Four captains (everyone except Sir Patrick Stewart,) TNG cast reunion, Voyager Cast reunion (but no Jeri Ryan) George Takei and Walter Koenig, Ron Moore spoke as well, and Shatner showed his most recent documentary. (And those where just the ones I attended...)

I'm definitely inspired to kick it up a notch next year. I'm thinking about doing the Tholian Web space suit for me and the First Contact space suit for Susanne with an EVA rifle.

Felgacarb, I'm still disppointed Dani and I didn't make it out, hopefully we will next year. You two looked terrific, your attention to detail is impeccable. I'm sure you got a lot of shout-outs, especially for sporting the Scotty Stache!

Those are some great shots. And I do love that field jacket so very much! I hope to do London proud with some equally as good photos from the Destination London event [startreklondon.com] which is a little over 6 weeks away.
