Bustin makes me feel good! GB1 New York Suit

As a kid, aside from Star Wars, I had memorized almost line for line Ghostbusters 1. Loved it from the first time I saw it in the theaters, and hearing GB3 may be soon, I dove in.

The wife was a bit worried, as I have a super expensive Vader, knowing I don't do much on the cheap... set me a budget.

This suit is a 3 footer. Up close, it looks in ways sorta crappy. I love that however, as the real props did from 4 inches. In pictures, it looks great as intended. Saved me hundreds on a build.

The pack is mainly foam, made by a fellow member here, Hotshot. Real ALICE frame, stickers from TK4510 and a pretty accurate hose setup. The trap, goggles and thrower are from Hotshot as well. Lights are from Exoray and I am soon to add sound. Boots are vintage NOS Vietnam paratrooper or flight deck boots, belt is vintage as well dyed to correct color. Flightsuit is modern, but painted zippers and slightly dyed to match the movie.

Love this suit. I have won many a contest in it as this costume I treat a bit different than my Star Wars ones. I just like the wear of it. Its a blast to just go shopping in it here in Japan.

I have plans to make a second pack, just for display though, as it will be heavy. Aside from that I will just wear it until I can't anymore and have fun in this suit.

Looks awesome man. I like that you have the video game flashlight on your belt. Always made sense to me that a Ghostbuster would have a flashlight seeing as they probably do a lot of busting in dark places and can't always light the place up solely with their particle throwers :P.

I agree, the flash light makes for a good addition. It fits the costume and the game nailed that aspect.
