Yeah was just about to do that haha. It is either that or a steampunk version with giant copper colored webshooters, aviator goggles and a tank on the back![]()
I think I might order a print off dam good Paul just seen his print and I don't think the price is to high $230 shipped to the uk am going to look see if there's any seamstress local to me first though
I had that same issue, I figure in the average shoe I have room to spare, which I did not want with these, so I ordered slightly smaller and they were perfect. Haven't had the chance to glue them on yet, but I'm hoping to do it in the next couple of days. Didn't find shoe goo, but did get some flexible industrial adhesive.
yeah, im a uk 10 ...no clue what that is in US (11 perhaps?) so im going to go a size down and hope its an ok fit, i mean a tiny bit of a space wouldnt be to bad as i dont really want them rubbing on me either.
going to see if i can order shoe goo, and perhaps some red paint that'll actually stick/set on the soles as ill likely leave the heel and toe for some support/stop my foot sliding right off.
That's exactly what I did, which is fine since the new suit has those parts left on as well. Here's a pic of my soles with the fabric cut off and the rim painted red (it was orange):

Have you seen this guys build using the same suit?

Rev0uk where in uk are you from I am also from the uk newcastle just incase you know of any good places for products and such
yeah tahts near enough exactly what i intend to do as far as cutting them out goes. Does your foot still fit fine? i doubt removing the extra material would of had that much of an effect anyway.
Im just trying to find a pair of aqua shoes that actually have the toe overlap like the one syou found, quite a few are shaped differently.
Which one the ASM or comic style? My ASM only took 8days to arrive I've started puff painting my spider on chest today
Yeah my foot still fits fine. I little extra room (maybe a half inch longer than my foot. I'm currently working on gluing them in. Been standing in them for a while, don't want to take my feet out too soon. I did the bottom and the front first, when that is dry, I will glue the heel/back and stand in them again. Hopefully this works well and holds. I'd hate to wreck the feet by having it not work!
yeah im sort of using what you do to gage whether it will work or not.. :P
its a method ive read in a few places though. When you say you did the front / bottom first, do you mean just the front half of the sole? so you didnt glue the back / heel at the same time? any reason why? anddddhow about the toe area where it comes up / the rim, obviously your foot isn't exactly the same shape as that, did you have to push those areas in by hand or are you going to try do that after wards
Because my foot does not take up all the space in the sole, so I didn't want to glue the whole thing if I wasn't sure if the pressure would be even and on all parts where the glue is supposed to connect. So I glue the toe area and the whole bottom of the soles, make sure the feet of the suit are well adhered there, then glue the back and focus on connecting it there.
I might try sewing around the top edge just to give it some extra strength.
Nice costume. But i want in black color.??
how did you get the entire toe area to sit up against the bit where it overlaps (if that makes sense?
for some reason i was thining it would of been best to go with the heel first, as naturally your foot would be back up against the heel. But if its working then good job! Another thought i had was if there was a bit to much space....wearing a few pairs of socks would sort that out
Which one? The Raimi suit or the Amazing Spiderman suit? Look on ebay, there are a ton of the black raimi suits, but I doubt you'll find any black ASM suits.
I just pushed my toes as far forward as I could, it worked for the most part, will need to add some glue around the top edge though; I'll probably sew it too to make sure it stays. Yeah, you could do the back first too, I think either would work.
i can't sew..at all >.< but hoping the glue will hold it. Still looking for aqua shoes that look like id be able to leave some of the toe/heel in place. Closest ive found so far are these 3, but the heel/toe area all appears to be just fabric rather than the rubber...not sure if that will matter. If you see what i mean
