Did a search, couldn't find it. I don't have Facebook but if you do go on hcg Facebook site, should be on there.

HCG does not tell or promote the artists they use . Why I have no idea
Here's a thread on StatueForum.com , guy on there said he's friends with the guy who sculpted it...maybe message him? Hope that helps...and I'm so getting this when it comes out.

This is an entirely new sculpt, although the new statue and the kit are based on the same iconic pose from the movie poster. The new one for HCG was sculpted by Chris Vierra.
I did the prototype paint up for the kit, and although it's well done the likeness leaves something to be desired....
yup i agree with you . the kit was done nicer for sure pm me would like to chat
LOOK at the sneak peek section of HCG and compare the one they show in that photo
the sculpt is SO much nicer and more accurate . The hair , face the body looks mint !
thats the version I was waiting for . That sculpt is nicer then any kit . Not sure how they got this one with the fangs messed up hair and face its a mess !

That one in the sneak peek from what I hear was done by an artist named Rob on a commission , why would they bait people with a totally different sculpt? I can't understand them at all.

So let me get this straight planet. You see a tiny little teaser photo of the sculpt and you are convinced that they are two different sculpts? Some alterations were done to the sculpt, like removing the wrinkles on the lower portion of the sleeves, but it is indeed the same piece.

Its different , I found a larger picture of it on a forum and asked the question . That paint color sucks hard core you don't agree with that then you are BS yourself . HCG uses the cheapest paint on earth to save pennies . They HAVE done this to other pieces, HCG showed a pulse rifle in a big gallery shoot and gave something else to collectors ! I know you work for them so your puffing up to defend it. You could have gone about it in a more diplomatic way . They shrunk it down from what that picture shows. It all looks different
to me from size to the sculpt itself . I was saying it is not that one in the kit its was nicer. HCG takes a great artists prototype and then puts the HCG spin on it an bam instant trash. They used a distant small picture for a reason .

Your right planet, I have NO say as to what gets produced, or what comes from the factory in HK. I do my best to paint what I receive, with the little reference, or direction I get, and hope that the final product comes close to what I did. This is the same for most of the collectible companies dealing with overseas production. Unfortunately not every piece is a home run, but I guarantee that every attempt is made to put out the best possible pieces.
I’m not exactly sure what photo you found that you are comparing the final piece to. I do know that slight alterations were made to the sculpt when the first photos of the sculpt were shown though.
As far as me being more diplomatic with my response to your allegations… Well, isn’t that the pot calling the kettle black?

Jeff its nothing personal I reacted to the way you responded no hard feelings .Its upsetting that you and the artist who worked on the proto did such a kick ass job and then HCG kills the piece overseas to save a few pennies . Todd Mcfarlane was one of the first to spend a few more bucks on each unit to keep that custom look of the original sculpt and it changed the industry forever. I will dig the link up but they for sure shrunk the sculpt down to save money and the paint they used is a crime it looks like cheap glossy pottery paint. They DO have a choice in what materials are used overseas .
