    Oct 22, 2012 - Tree Bark #1

Hi All, I am wanting to find a way of making tree bark for a costume but finding it difficult as it needs to be light weight, durable and able to move in, yet sturdy enough to not blow about in the wind.

Any and all advise and help would be greatly appreciated.

I've used the pink insulation foam boards in the past for this. I cut lines all over it with a hot knife, and then go over the entire sufrace with a little hand torch to give you the texture. It worked pretty well. Not sure it will work for your if you're planning on walking around in it.

Thanks for that, do you have any links (in the UK) where I can get the Pink Foam Board from?

I found a place which has the blue but it is to small and I need for the feet sections about a 3ft Square to work with for each foot.
