wow that is rad!!! i wish i could come up with stuff like this! awsome work
Wow that's looks great, like a zombie Frankenstein steampunk, really cool idea.
Man, that's great. When I see stuff like this, it makes me mad that I apparently have no creativity when it comes to making/drawing original art. I can duplicate things fairly well, but struggle to do anything that's truly my idea. To me that's the big difference in artists. Well done!
Thanks for the support. I love monsters and creatures. I cant take credit for this idea because it was someone else's concept art. I created him for a client. It was a challenge creating a realistic character from a cartoonish sketch.

Awesome work....mostly found parts? I mean, apart from the head! lol
Wow that looks awesome! I am really loving the steam punk stuff lately.
Thanks KevVader,
I had to make this mask wearable and lightweight. Sculpted the face with monster clay then casted it in mask latex, that was pretty straight foward. The mechanical parts however were a challange. The whole mask is 2 parts. the mechanical part was made out of found plastic parts;tubes, shells, caps, etc. Dollar store is a great place for that stuff. I also sculpted some high density urethane foam which i hard coated. screwed and epoxy it all together onto an adjustable helmet that i modified. Finally I painted a faux rust on the plastic and foam then sealed it. This was the hardest mask I've ever made but I had fun making it.
Thanks bro,
It's funny you say that cause this wasn't my idea unfortunately, it was the guy who I made it for. he sent me a drawing he found somewhere and he asked me to make it wearable and lightweight. I did put my own spin on it a bit but stuff like that takes time. Dont beat yourself up all artists feel the way you do at some point. Take something you like and put a spin on it.
