    Oct 23, 2012 - Realistic Sculpture of a Dog #1

Does anyone want or know anyone who would be able to sculpt my dog and paint it to look real? Just curious to know how much it would cost? Let me know if you have any interest for commissioned work.

    Here he is:

Just buy yourself a " sandicast " bulldog.

Their dog sculptures are the best out there.
They have many different styles & some with glass eyes.

The shape and structure of his features are what make him him. Painting a generic bulldog model with his coloring creates a representation but not an actual replication if that makes sense.

These guys on here who sculpt are freaking amazing and I know they could nail it!

Sandicasts are nice, but their bulldog is quite different from your one (face/ expression etc., if that΄s what you΄re looking for).

Otherwise it seems to be a good base for a repaint to match your dog.

I'm in Chicago. I was thinking life size. Not sure if I would do just bust or whole body.

I don't think just paint is over going to look truly realistic. It might be a nice portrait but it wouldn't look like the real thing. You need at least flocked but preferably punched fur - which is going to take time and therefore be expensive.
