Re: My Predator Wolf Head sculpt
that's one ugly mother...
Kidding of course, just thought i'd try and catch ya with your pants down. That's awesome work. I'm new to.... stuff, recently built a Tron helmet with a lot of guidance found here. What tools do you use for sculpting something like this? Last edited by bsal; 11-04-2011 at 12:15 AM. |

1st I used the wooden type tools to get the rough shape. Then i used the loop tools to refine it and once i'm happy with the shape I'd use the wax carver tools to get the detail that bit finer

Re: My Predator Wolf Head sculpt(UPDATE PIK HEAVY)
Hey Guy,so heres an update on the predator wolf mask I'm making,It's 99.9% done.Enjoy!
Also would like some opinions on whether or not I should mould the mandibles separate to the head(gonna be a silcone mould) Thanks Last edited by snakes88; 12-20-2011 at 10:18 AM. Reason: Missed some stuff |

Re: My Predator Wolf Head sculpt
Simply amazing !!! Very great job !! In my opinion, it could be easier to mould mandibles separately cause molding a big head like this is not an easy thing... But as i'm not a specialist in molding, it could be great to have opinions of guys who do it more often...
You really have talented skills... Could be interested if you plan a run of these baby. |

Re: My Predator Wolf Head sculpt
IMO i would mold the mandibles seperate. You could be taking way to much of a chance of the mandibles locking up mold and this sculpt is way too dam good to take a gamble on a tragedy like that. Everything very well could come out just fine, but i've had this happen with other sculpts that i was sure would be ok to mold as one piece. Outstanding work! Looking forward to seeing the first pull. Keep us posted.
