My ANH Luke Skywalker lifesize bust

Hey again all of you -

Just painted up the "Bust" Version of my Luke Head and I really
think the minor facial modifications do make a great difference.

I hope you all like him ... on to the pics once more -

Im planning on putting my Han head on my stormtrooper body. If I want Han in trooper disguise...helmet off. If I want a trooper...Helmet on. Wife was happy to hear I don't have to make ANOTHER PVC Mannequin.

Now that is one of the better ones I've seen on this board. It really looks like MH!!! A good paintjob is everything on these busts.

i think it looks great, but i think you went a little over board on the moles or whatever the hell they are, even if they are there in the ref pic i think it was a bit much. thats just my opinion of course. otherwise it looks wonderful.

I REALLY like it, but yes, the moles should be a bit more subtle....looks a little like he has peptostreptacocus.

Once more you have made a fantastic job, he now really looks like Mark Hamill.
Great paintjob on the hair, looks very realistic.

That's a fantastic likeness to Mark Hamill, and I think that you finally nailed the colouring of the teeth so they don't look too white and prominent

But... I actually preferred the paintjob you did on the last painted Luke head that you showed-off... the skintone seemed more natural on the first one... this one looks a little bit like women's makeup.... and the hair looks artificially textured.

But PLEASE don't take that as a 'bash'... you have an incredible talent with these amazing sculptures that you do (and I couldn't sculpt anything even half as good) . I just think if you took the paintjob from the last Luke head and added this one's teeth and eyes, you would have the ULTIMATE Luke Skywalker bust!

I can't wait to see what a great job you do with Princess Leia

dude, seriously, the last time when you made the lips to prominent, then did the han better...

umm the lips and teeth mouth area (whatever) looks... as real as clay and paint can look.


id say good job or looks nice...

but i think your teetering on the edge of perfect at this point!!!

Indeed the colors are a bit too bright on the pics as the weather
was bad when I took them, and so I had to set up additional light
so I could take pics at all - ...

The birthmarks do look very dark on the pics ... I wonder why,
as "in hand" they are very subtle and decent ... ummm ...

I photoshopped 3 of the pics to "fade out" the color more so it
looks more like the real colors of the bust - not perfect though
as I'm not even a "hobby photographer" ... ...

yeah i figured for that, judging by the refleciton on the paint of the hair the light is playin with the eyes of some of the people... :P

i can tell how good it would look in person! and not only that but... mark hammil did have makeup like a girl through most of ANH!!!

i think JRX captured that, yet subtley in comparison to the makeup he wore, he also had alot of sun before and during the filming of ANH, and i think you captured that as well.

so again. B) me likey!
