That looks incredible. Can't wait to see the final outcome. Are you going to paint this in the Manga/Anime colors or in the live action colors?
How in the Flying F*** do you put THAT kind of detail on something so small?
Simply amazing!
Wow, that looks awesome!! Very nice sculpt...you have a keen eye! Love it and can't wait to see it all finished!
A true beauty indeed! what are you using for the control metal and sensors?
I sculpt these things because i really enjoy doing it, but it's really great to get such positive feedback!
Omnicron - I intend to paint it as in the first live action movie Mutronics, but finding any decent natural lighting of it is impossible, so it'll be as close as i can get it.
Kursosawa - I'm using ballbarings out of those puzzle games for the senors. I still cant find anywhere on the net to just buy ballbarings.

Didn't they use the same costume in the second movie as well? He fought in the daylight in Dark Hero. I have both on DVD and can provide screenshots if necessary.
That's a pretty cool looking mini bust. I Didn't get to watch alot of the Guyver series but from what I did see it looked interesting.
I'm pretty sure it was a different costume in the second movie. It doesn't look as bulky and it is definitely a simpler paint scheme.
It could be a different costume. It has been a while sinced I've watched the first one.
Thanks for the offer Omicron, unfortunately the first movie doesn't really show the colouring very well, and in Dark Hero he has the blue paint scheme, with the larger shoulders.
I checked out Steve Wangs website the other day and although he has some great pictures of his work, he doesn't seem to have any of the Guyver, strange really as i think it one of his best pieces.
I think it was the first movie he directed... don't quote me on that though!

No pics of Guyver? What was the website? I have a few pictures of one he did somewhere. I believe Guyver II was pretty much all his - writer, producer, director - and it shows. When the guy tells him to just arrest him and he splays his throat open, I jumped out of my seat! lol! The first one makes me cringe. Luke Skywalker turns into a bug!? Speaking of the first one, the guyver was more of a pearlescent sea-green color.
Here's the website: http://www.myspace.com/stevewangfx
Yeah the second movie is the better of the two. And has some quite gory bits! Alway helps lol! But the first suit is the better.

That's an amazing job! I've been working on a Guyver costume for over a year now, but I'm nowhere near finished. If life and responsibilities would get out of the way, I might be able to finish!
I like the manga look more than I do Steve Wang's, though he did a really great job. I effin' love his work! If you do mold this up and cast it, I would certainly be interested!
Thanks Digitizit, i will be moulding and casting it, hopfully before 2010. I Just spent half the day detailing the face, was really happy with it and then promptly dropped it and mushed all the detail! Grrrrr! Least said soonest mended and all that!

I'd like to see your version of Unit II and Unit III if you ever decide to produce one.
Hi DVDVampire, I'm probably not going to sculpt any other Guyver things, at least not for the time being. What do the Units II & III look like? Are they from the anime?
Pete
Yeah, they're from the anime. I've seen Wang's interpretation of Unit II and the Guyver/Zoanoid Hybrid (from Dark Hero) looked somewhat similar to Unit III.

They do look cool! I might try and do another guyver thing in the future, but i've got to finish a couple of other projects first, and i aint the fastest sculpter!
Cheers
