Hi all.
just wanted to share a quick personal project i did whilst working on other things. Sometimes it can be so restricting when im working on likenesses that i need to step back and just do something freestyle to stay fresh
hope you like it

I feel that by telling you that this is fantastic, I'm somehow undercutting the compliment...
I'm actually interested in any sculpting books/videos/instructional as well as clay preference, and whatever else you think would benefit someone.
I can't get over your attention to detail. Sorry for spamming the post, but this is incredible!
Haha,I haven't formally filled out my profile. I'm from Cincinnati, Ohio - USA. The UK is a little further than I can regularly swim, but I'll be sure to think along those lines.
I'm a novice among masters here. I've been watching a couple sculpting videos and I wish I would have done it years ago. It's really improved my drawing. I'm forcing myself to break old habits. I've done a few larger sculpts in years past, and I'm trying to get back into the swing of things.
So far, I love this place and rest assured... I'll be following the exploits of Fettster here forward.
best advice anyone ever gave me was just get a bag of normal water clay and just practice, practice, practice...........then practice some more.
Also never ever ever think you know it all and be humble enough to understand that you will always be a student to the art otherwise the ego kicks in and stops you progressing.
thanks for the compliments guys
Love the expression. So much character. The paint is just as amazing. Great job fettster! Thanks for sharing. :-)
great little bust mate
saw this in person the other day and the paint work in this is just unreal , the veins in the nose checks and ears are so real
Also saw your facebook page and notice he cought the attention of a certain Steve Johnson who was very inpressed and inspiredcan't really ask for muc more than that mate

That is amazing! It looks so....well I had to take a second to realise goblins didn't exist!!
Thanks guys. I'm going to continue down this road and do more fantasy/ mythological characters. So much fun to do and great practice.
Wow, stunning! I can't find the words to describe how much I'm blown away.
Where do you guys get all theses eyes at? I've been pricing and they are crazy expensive!

Looks great. I like the smirkiness of the sculpt. Lots of character in the face.
