Hello!! small update, here's what did: added some clay to the nose and top of the head, smoothed it out, made the scars, added detail to the eyes, and added some detail under the eyes.
It still needs some work, like the holes where the breath tubes go, and the skin on the neck.
Here's the pics, tell me what you think:
Hi, well I got most of the progress done yesterday but I got real busy with Christmas stuff. Anyway here's what I did: I added a lot of clay to the neck, smoothed it out a little, added clay to the head, smoothed it out/made the breath mask?(part that is black leather on his head),and did some more detail work.
It still is not done, still need to add the holes and buttons.
Here's pics tell me what you think:
Having just recently watched Clone Wars season 1 on BD, I found that Cad was one of the more interesting characters....this sculpt is looking very close to capturing that charisma!
Rich
Here's the new pics, it still needs some smoothing out, but beside that it's done.
Thank you both!!
As for the hat, I think the dome should be made out of some sort of soft plastic, as for the brown part, I think it should be made out of Syn. leather with some sort of plastic mesh sewn in. I think felt will come out too fuzy and be to flimsy and might become deformed.
Hope this helps.
Ooooh so close!!!!
Well lets just say the mold didn't come out, the silicone I was using wasn't that good.
I'm going to fix up the bust and order some Rebound 25 tonight.
Oh well, hopefully the next mold will come out.

I just ordered a gallon of Rebound 25 and a pint of Thi-Vex.
Sad part is now I'm broke, oh well I'll hopfully get some money for my B-day.
Update: Hi, the rubber came in today, but I'm not going to start the mold untill Tusday because I'll be in Canada for a hockey tournament.
Great work. What type of clay did you use? It appears white in the photos.
I can wait to start mine.
It's called Klean Klay, I got the tan kind.
Hope this helps.
SUPERprops,
That grin is fantastic.
You are capturing the likeness, giving him character, and creating a unique version.
Bravo!
