Skyrim Argonian sculpt: FINISHED latex mask

Hi everyone!

I'm entering the contest in the final few weeks with a planned sculpt of a female Argonian from Skyrim. I had originally planned to take this on in March but got sidetracked as other projects got delayed.

I'm working in Monster Clay on top of a headbust of myself, and eventually this will be a latex mask. Very lizardlike.

The Argonians have a lot of personality in the game and you're able to customize your character to look pretty much like anything, so I've been spending a lot of time reviewing this chart:

I have the basic blocking done at this point, although I think I'm going to lose the lower chin ridge:

Nice! That game has got it all when it comes to doing projects. I like how you kept it to the last few weeks.:p
Looking forward to the outcome!

I have the shape where I want it... now on to detail. The first step was my hands; second step was using one of these loop tools to shave down the monster clay to size.

Then, going in with Naptha and a paper towel to get it even smoother.

Here's where I am now!

Next step: using rubber-tipped tools to get it to this texture.

I'm getting closer to wrapping this scaley lady up, and realized I would be sculpting the same texture over and over again. So I made two quick texture stamps!

To do your own: sculpt the texture you want to use, pour a silicone over it (I used Rebound 25 because it was handy, but you can use Dragonskin or any other silicone you have available), wait for it to cure and then trim to size

Latex pull!

And painted up. SELFIE. I threw a very basic wire frame to hold the space. It extends about 2 inches through the horn slots, which were quickly sculpted, then molded in silicone, and finally came out as Foam It! 3.

In my mage outfit.

Lots more photos to come. I maaaaybe have made a maid's outfit. Yup.

I've done a couple different painting techniques, but this time I went with a prosaide/acrylic 50/50 mix for the bottom (yellow) layer, then super light airbrushing on various layers of straight acrylic. I topped it off/sealed it with a clear plastidip. Stretches just fine and no cracks!

I've also used the tint/rubber cement/naptha method but this one was so colorful that it didn't make sense.
