Arnold T2 stage six battle damage head sculpt and figure.
Hi,
An update and request for comments and suggestions on the painting of this figure. I wont repost the old pics which lead up to this stage, but any comments on any area is welcome, nothing if finished till its sitting on the shelf. I have as some have suggested put a darker skin tone wash of his face, but I have been focusing on trying to get the leather, well! looking like leather. I used an off white, mat black, and gloss black mix over an off white undercoat. I painted the leather areas a solid colour then rubbed areas with a hard paint brush to remove paint in areas that I wanted to be worn and scuffed. I then used the same mix with again a stiff paint brush using a stipple affect. I have not painted zips, buckles etc untill I am happy with the leather look. The camera takes the pics much lighter than it acualy is, I tried all settings but same or worse affect. ![]() ![]() Thanks in advance for your suggestions Ozzy |

Looks pretty good! Try taking pics further back and zooming in. Daylight is also much kinder than camera flash. I'm still liking the facial rework!
Some macro shots please? Rich |
