Oct 3, 2009 - Another MJ thriller bust, work in progress #1

Well i know a few people have tackled this allready, but i wanted to have a go myself
heres the look i was going for, when we first see him turn before the big dance

I decided to go for the likeness first, then add the zombie look

    starting to add the brows

And heres were i am now, still a long way to go but i'm pretty pleased with it

    More to come

Very nice. The chin looks a touch short and receded. You're off to a superb start!

    Thanks everyone
I am hoping to get this completed soon, had lots of inquirys about this bust, its going to be done in rubber and foam filled, with a wig added.
It'll be done for halloween, also doing a wearable wolf or whatever it was supposed to be.

    Looking good

The only thing that stands out as off to me are the lips; the ones in the pic remind me of Mr. Roper from Three's Company...

I'm sure the end piece will be stunning though, wish I had the talent, I have 20 pounds of clay and sculping tools but too afraid I'd eff things up from the get go...

Very nice. I'm always impressed with people who can sculpt good likenesses, especially humans... er, zombie in this case.

I agree about the chin, though. The space between the bottom of the bottom lip and the bottom of the chin should be longer.

    Great work!

Hey it never hurts to try. The only bad thing that could happen is you never start
