    Jun 7, 2012 - 3D Direwolf sigil (Game of Thrones) sculpt. #1

This is my first non structural sculpt and my first time using pink XPS foam.
The dimensions are about 11" x 8" x 6" and the base is just there for reference as I'll probably make it out of wood.
    Anyway, here are the goods:

Nice image of the Direwolf sigil. I then made a mock up of how wide it should be.

Cut foam and used water based contact cement to hold them together.

    Rough cuts.

Roughed out the shape and started work on the details of the face/ears.

Was thinking of how to do the fur texture and this seemed like the best way.

I still need to smooth out these cuts and contour them but it's coming along nicely.

How would I seal this to make it safe to use bondo on?
Also, how would I make the teeth in such a confined space?
Should I cut the bottom jaw off (with some indexes) and get more freedom to make the teeth? I assume that would be helpful for making a silicone mold.

Very cool. I think this will be a really interesting piece when you're done.

And yeah, I think you went the right way with rendering the fur/scales. Gives it that carved wood medieval appearance.
