I am reading the series now. I am really enjoying it. It will be interesting to see it on the screen.
Thanks for that info. As a fan of TWD since day 1, I'm very excited to see this series get somewhere and really hope they can stick to the macabre guns. Of course for it to truly stick to its roots it'd be shot in B&W...
This is great news. I have all the books, and would really love an accurate rendition on screen![]()
Sweet!
Now if we can get another studio to pick up DeadWorld, I would be in zombie heaven
My friend turned me on to the walking dead a few years ago.
I think "Dead Set" showed you can do a great zombie show. Hopefully they can do WD justice and make it an ongoing show.
Excited to see this but I hope they don't skimp out on the gore and as much foul language as they can get away with. That's one of the things I love about TWD, they interact and talk like real people in an unreal situation.
Great series...one of the best comics in a long time. But as always, I'm hesitant to see anything I love adapted. But once in awhile there's a home run, and I certainly trust Darabont (the Mist was fantastic), so I'd give it a go...if I got the stinking channel!
Why they never mention Charlie Adlard's superlative art I will never know.
I'm going to work on this for a few weeks..Just got the script, but haven't read it yet. Have heard good things about it though..that it's going to be very intense!
In the wardrobe dept. as an 'ager/dyer' craftsperson..(putting the blood & guts & dirt on the wardrobe..) Same thing I did on Zombieland & lots of other shows..
I really like the GNs . Can anyone tell me who will be starring in it?
YES! If there's a TV show genre they've never really tried before, it's this! (And no, I do not count vampires) lol
I guess Hollywood hasn't totally ran out of ideas yet.
I'd like to see someone pick up Robots vs. Zombies and make a tv show or movie out of that. The whole story seemed really original and incredibly desperate as far as the human race coming to an end was concerned.
And who wouldn't like to see big robots plowing through fields of zombies??!!
The comic is such a good read! I can't wait to see what they do with the tv series.
I liked him in Love Actually, but can he do a Kentucky accent? I realize it isn't the most important thing, but I can't picture Rick Grimes with an English accent.

I'm not familiar with the comic, is this going to be a serious take on a zombie apocalypse?
If there could even be such a thing.![]()
Yes, it's a very "literary" comic. Very intelligent. You won't feel bad the morning after.
My husband picked up the first couple trades of WD when our comic shop had a sale. He'd read one in a single sitting, then hand it to me and I'd do the same. Then we picked up a bunch more at a comicon. After we were done on the sales floor, we'd sit and read the new ones in our room. Just recently finished another volume and I'm having withdrawal from not having the next one to read, especially since some really bad stuff just happened.
