Star Wars: The Force Awakens (Pre-release)

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

No, San Diego Comicon.

And yes, He has been really good at keeping people updated and leaving everyone starving just long enough before teasing a new tidbit. He's really good at this. HAHA!

Ah, gotcha! :thumbsup Comicon has been a good venue a time or two in the past for Star Wars info, but you're right; I don't know about JJ. He's definitely not over the top with info!

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Different principles are operating with paper airplanes than normal aircraft, it's more air resistance than anything. If a flat surface was sufficient to produce lift then airplanes would all have perfectly flat wings and the rotors on helos would be perfectly flat too. Lift is created when the air above a surface, like wings, are moving faster than below which is why airfoils are flat on the bottom and rounded on top.

Aerodynamics is fun because there are theories of aerodynamic lift unlike the laws of theormodynamics.... and not all airfoils are flat. There are symmetrical airfoils and airfoils with a concave bottom and even a sphere can genereate lift.

If aerodynamics doesn't have enough eyes rolling... we can really increase the yawn factor by discussing the difference between a theory and a law. ;)

But to keep thing in Star Wars, would you not have an X 'wing' to keep the weapons away from the pilot or droid due to some radiation hazard? And have the X foils in an open attack position so the energy doesn't interfer with each of the four emitters?

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Looks more like Kevin Flynn from Tron: Legacy.

When the first trailer for Episode VII comes, it will break the interwebs.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

Its a good job we got some hot weather this year, or those UK based tattooine sets would be a bit of a washout.

Re: Star Wars Episode VII

If you listen to the video he implies he is not the only one with a beard, but we already have seen Harrison without one, every other male from the original trilogy has their face covered up anyway, so maybe Lando is back, and with a beard.

Either that or Harrison shaved his off in the hospital, knowing he would have enough time off to grow one back.

Would kind of make sense given that they have already have been shooting footage in Iceland and the Isle of Skye was supposed to have been scouted as well. Certainly the place looks good for a Jedi temple and it would certainly be interesting for Luke to choose a none desert environment:

I guess it wouldn't take too much work to get rid of the seagulls and puffins!!!!
