There are only a few theaters playing it near me and we usually have a glut of any newer movie, so it must have been on a more limited release. However they are definitely not skimping on advertising during the commercial breaks for Heroes of Cosplay on On Demand. It's on twice during every commercial break.

Wait...isn't this an older horror film?
There is another movie called The Signal but this is brand new and has nothing to do with the old one. There ended up being about 10 people in the theatre which was impressive. Definitely straight to DVD material. I thought it started out strong and had a good sense of dread and tension. It then turned into an escape/chase movie with a poorly executed twist ending.

I see some theaters in Korea playing it. I did the natural thing and thought of Akira when I saw the door explode open and the robot looking arm...looks interesting to say the least.

Watched it today.
Definitely... different. Not really what I was expecting. Not horrible... I could maybe watch it second time.
The trailer is a little misleading. Most of the "action" in the trailer doesn't really happen until the last 20 minutes or so.
I was hoping for something more like Chronicle meets Akira. Didn't really get that though.
I could post one screencap of the movie that would pretty well spoil the entire ending...
