    Sep 27, 2012 - Resident Evil Damnation #1

Anyone else get it yet? Since these are made in Japan by Capcom they follow the game universe, this is the 2nd CG movie, and they're way more story driven than the games and the US movies. They also tend to be a bit slower paced and not as action filled but they have moments, i swear this one was meant to be 3D as there are several spots that would have worked amazingly well.
Best part for me was at the end with the A10 warthog facing the Tyrant. You can find the first one of these movies new for like 8.00 if you look around. I wish i'd gotten this as a blu-ray instead.

The Japanese CG used in their games gets more amazing all the time while we're stuck with WOW style stuff and clone wars. Metal gear solid 4 is 3 years old and it still looks amazing. I want to get Resident evil 6 now lol. Those Tryants are way more impressive than the older models from the earlier games, my question is where did they get the cash for them cause they can't be cheap lol

I was gonna pick this up yesterday, but kinda walked out the store forgetting to. I just have a couple questions.

    1) Is it anywhere near the epicness that Degeneration was?

    2) I was hearing something about it tying in with the RE:Retribution movie, true?

Can't wait to see this, loved the first one. For me this is Resident Evil, and how it should appear in movie form, the live action stuff so far has been pretty terrible

Watched this last night. Was really cool. I like how the first film really focused on the T-Virus and the zombies and this one centered on the Los Plagas. I don't see why they'd tie this in with retribution, essentially different universes completely.

I might have to pick those 2 films up!

I've been so turned off after seeing the second RE US film here. I thought I'd give #3 a chance, but it was terrible.

I still, to this day, don't understand why they couldn't have just stuck to the awesome story that started it all in a giant mansion in the middle of a foggy property with zombie dogs and underground passages leading to the Tyrant near the end and exiting in a helicopter. I LOVE the first few games and that was a wealth of material to go on in making a decent live action film.

At this point I think The Walking Dead is WAAAAYYYY more faithful to the genre and feel of what Resident Evil could have been.

The new RE films are a joke and I am sick to death of Alice, as much as I think Milla Jovovich is a cool action star and actress. It needs to end or be given to people who will faithfully translate it from what made the game awesome.

Nope no ties to Retribution. There are going to be ties to Re6 though i think. It's pretty epic given Leon faces 3 tyrants lol.
