Well I'm happy about this, even if no one else is! Gonna be some intellectual meat in the cinema to chew on again at long last...
This should be interesting...
It's cool you can be a fan of dick and nobody will judge you.
It's interesting that many mainstream dystopian sci-fi films and TV shows revolve around a fascist society, because fascism or it's more benign cousin, federalism, have become the blueprints for dystopia. And by "facism," let me clarify the main components: militarism, collectivism (anti-capitalism), & atheism.
I can throw so many examples your way:
Brazil
GATTACA
Star Wars
Equilibrium
Aeon Flux
Logan's Run
Fahrenheit 451
V for Vendetta
Dr. Who
Starship Troopers
Planet of the Apes
Star Trek
Firefly/Serenity
...the list goes on.
So will it really be so controversial, or just very frank and honest? Here's hoping for the latter, because controversy can really wreck havoc on the public perception of a film... take Avatar. OOPS - WRONG THREAD!
Cheers!

Philip Kindred Dick died in 1982. His role must be unusual.
