New Girl

I've always loves Zooey, even though I find her to be a terrible actress. I just love her weird, quirky personality.

The show was pretty amusing, but I just hate the name. Clearly, she's not gonna be the new girl for much longer. Why not just call the show "It's Jess" as per her self-created theme song?

Was that a Wayan I saw in that clip?

Not a great show but not horrible. I love Zooey (loved her in Weeds) so I'll give it a chance. Hopefully it will morph into something great.

When I saw the previews, I thought the character seemed almost too clueless and annoying to survive on her own. I don't know, maybe I'm just done with sitcoms. I find that fewer and fewer of them sound funny each season.

I like Zooey, but she plays herself in every show/ movie I've ever seen her in. Not that it's a bad thing because she's a really likeable/ loveable actress, but this show doesn't really seem to be all that interesting.

Big Bang Theory is awesome!

Anyone watched the second episode??
I loved the first.
I started getting disappointed in the beginning of the second episode but I guess it was just a set up for a great comeback.

I think Big Bang Theory has lost what made it unique (science and nerd humor) - it's just a dopey sitcom now.

New Girl is fun... dunno if it will last, but it's cute.

They did mention Coach.

I miss Coach. He was crazy. The new guy seems a little boring in comparison.

I hope they didn't replace Coach.

I didn't love the pilot, and the 2nd episode started off weak. It really came around though, and was pretty good the last half.

I like Zooey. She also has a band called She & Him and some of you may recognize a couple of their songs.

It definitely mentioned Coach, several times. The new guy will be ok, but he isn't a Wayans.

I also don't like the new title sequence. The pilot one was short, sweet, and simple, but the new one seems too overblown =(

i think ZD is cute as all Hell but that trailer......oh dear :-(

With episode 3 they still have me.

Pilot was great. 2nd one I thought was pretty good too. This one I'm not so sure however.

My wife kept pointing out why ZD's character is so dumb (naive?) and I think I have to agree. There's naivity and social awkwardness (like the Brit teeth) and then there's just acting dumb.

i dont like the male characters at all

i liked coach from the pilot

the others are just so stereotypically stupid
i mean: that something of a man crying and running after his ex girl
the playboy who has sex with everything that isnt up in a tree at the count of three, and the black guy who is just some background character

all those characters are so over the top stereotypical that it takes all the fun out of it.
Coach was also a stereotype, but he was at least fun (and also he overdid the "coach" thing in a funny way )

My wife and I are enjoying the show. Was the photographer from last nights ep David Naughton? I couldn't find any reference or credits for him.

I saw last night's episode- no that wasn't David Naughton; way too young to be him.

It was also my first time watching the show. Made me chuckle a few times. I'm not too sure how much of the "is she really that awkward?" angle I can take though.

I'm trying to like it but its losing me. I'll give it another episode or two and hope it gets better.

Gotta admit the bubba teeth were a bit much. I'd be embarrassed, too.

As for the guys being sterotypes, I dunno...archetypes, maybe.
